PSFC Catalog and Electronic Journal Gateway have been updated |
The PSFC Catalog and Electronic Journal Gateway have been updated to include the new protocols and links mandated by the electronic journal license requirements prescribed by MIT Main Libraries. Some journals still require certificate validation, so direct links to articles may not work (for example, those received via email). Many links now provide more than one access source, including journal coverage overlaps. This requires the user to read carefully the available coverage ranges and select accordingly.

Electronic journal access -- increased security and alternative portals |
For AIP and APS journals, you must now use web certificate validation to gain access, both for on- and off-campus computers.

Electronic Journal Access Problems |
Currently there is a problem with electronic access to Fusion Science and Technology and other ANS journals.
We believe it stems from an IP range miscommunication with the provider (American Nuclear Society).
Apparently, some computers at the PSFC do have access while others don't.
We're working on it...

NOTE: The Library computers DO NOT have access.
If you need a particular article, tell the Librarian and he'll get it for you via MIT Main Libraries.

Scanner working but needs repair |
The Fujitsu ScanSnap direct-to-PDF scanner will not feed more than one page at a time,unless you hand feed each page.
Repair parts have been ordered.
